Our Mission: Inspiring Young Scientists

Founded on the belief that every child deserves access to engaging, safe, and educational science experiences, backstreetuk has been transforming science education for over a decade.

Our Story

backstreetuk began in 2012 when a group of passionate educators and scientists in Bratislava noticed a gap in hands-on science education for children. Traditional textbooks weren't sparking the curiosity and wonder that science deserves to inspire.

We set out to create something different—educational materials that would make science accessible, safe, and genuinely exciting for young minds. Our first science discovery disc focused on basic chemistry experiments using household materials, and the response from teachers and students was overwhelming.

Today, our science discovery discs are used in hundreds of schools across Slovakia and beyond, helping thousands of children discover the joy of scientific exploration while building critical thinking skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
